SMX Singapore wrap up

Day One
The first day keynote was presented by Gillian Muessig, President of SEOmoz.org, spoke about The “Business” of Search and how SEO agencies can flourish despite the difficult economic condition. Gillan has been in Marketing for over 20 years and spoke beautifully.

Day Two

Harrison Gevirtz of Gevirtz Media presented the second day keynote speech on Monetising Social Media. Harrison is just 16 year old and currently studying at Santa Barbara High. Harrison and Dennis Yu have an amazing rapport with people and they have their fingers well and truly on the pulse.  They also happen to be really down to earth people completely unaffected by their growing success. His keynote was truly fantastic.

I met with Dr. Mathew McDougall, CEO of the Sinotech Group in China, and he is already seeing millions of dollars moving online and others have corroborated that in their comments especially in the China Asian region.  On a personal note we also looked at Goolge Street view and Mathew was amazed to find his house back home in Australia looking fine and dandy.  Singapore had only just released the news that it was now available online in Singapore. Most press seem to think it is an invasion of privacy!
